According to the Hindustan Times report, Vikramaditya Motwane emphasized the fact that experimentation is extremely important for the survival of the medium. He said, "Why haven’t we pushed towards the edges more? Shows like 'Bads of Bollywood' prove audiences are ready.”

During the same conversation, Vikramaditya Motwane also opened up about the series, 'Black Warrant'. The director shared how the makers of the show decided to avoid making a spectacle. He said, "At its heart, it’s a workplace drama—it just happens to be set in a jail. We wanted viewers to care about people, not plot twists."

The filmmaker also talked about how the streaming platforms in the initial days enjoyed unparalleled freedom. He expressed, "We pushed boundaries because we were denied that space in cinema for so long. Now there’s a risk of pulling back just when things were getting interesting."

Directed by Aryan Khan, the show featured Bobby Deol, Lakshya, Sahher Bambba, Anya Singh, Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Gautami Kapoor, and more. With that, Aryan marked his debut as a director. It also featured Manish Chaudhary, Rajat Bedi, and others in pivotal roles. The show was incorporated with multiple cameos of stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, SS Rajamouli, Ranbir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, and more.

The show was released on Netflix on December 8, 2025.

Meanwhile, Motwane recently directed the film 'CTRL', starring Ananya Panday as the lead actress. The movie was out on a streaming platform on October 4, 2024.
