Vikram Bhatt recently opened up about his 2006 movie titled, 'Ankahee'. He revealed the film was based on his situation with Sushmita Sen and his ex-wife Aditi Bhatt.
During a recent conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Vikram Bhatt was inquired about the inspiration behind his 2006 film 'Ankahee' and whether it drew from his personal experiences. In response, the director acknowledged that it incorporated elements from his own life, describing it as semi-fictionalised.
When asked about the connection between his 2006 film 'Ankahee' and his past relationship with former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, Vikram Bhatt acknowledged that the movie drew inspiration from his experiences with Sushmita and his wife (ex-wife Aditi Bhatt). He clarified that the film wasn't based on specific incidents but rather on real emotions that were fictionalised within the context of the movie.
During the same interview, Vikram Bhatt discussed whether his ex-wife Aditi Bhatt was displeased with their personal lives being depicted as inspiration for the film. Vikram Bhatt conveyed that neither Sushmita nor Aditi should feel upset because, in the film, he took the responsibility and blamed himself.
When addressing the possibility of Sushmita being upset with him over the film, Vikram Bhatt mentioned that he hasn't inquired about her feelings on the matter. He emphasized that he holds the rights to his own life and story, not those of others.
When asked if his relationships had left him exhausted, Vikram Bhatt added that all his relationships have taught him valuable lessons, and the challenges he faced have contributed to shaping his present self.
Bhatt also shared that his spiritual journey would have unfolded differently without those experiences. He emphasized that each event was a result of his own decisions, mentioning that he allowed them to happen. According to Vikram, nothing that occurred in his life happened without his permission.
Vikram Bhatt is now married to an art connoisseur Shwetambari Soni in 2020.
