“Sequels are basically, same kind of story line... But this story isn’t similar. We decided that it might be a good idea to perhaps just have a memory of a film that we did together but there's no prequel sequel involved. We thought it might be good for the business,” Vikram explains.

Talking about working with Mimoh, the director also calls him an “underrated actor”. “Mimoh is probably the most underrated actor. He's a very shy boy who rarely gets out of his house. He doesn't ask for work. (But) That doesn't mean that he's not in the running for the best. Some people are reticent, some people are outgoing, he is reticent, like me. So, I understand him. Also, it was a long overdue promise. After Haunted we decided that we would work. And I told him that if I ever find a script that only he can do, I would come back to him. And that's exactly what we did,” Vikram elaborates.

Also, while talking about titling the movie as Haunted, Vikram shares, “I think that there is something about me and Mimoh coming together in a 3D film, which people will call it Haunted, whether we call it Haunted or not,” he adds.

The movie is already on the floor and being shot in Mumbai. Interestingly, this one is going to be 3D and augmented reality. Vikram states it is too “nascent stage” to talk about the film’s technical aspect.

The movie will also star actor Chetna Pande as the female lead.
