Acclaimed actor Vijay Varma, currently riding high on the success of 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack' and gearing up for the release of ‘Matka King’, has revealed an ambitious new goal: stepping into the director's chair. In a candid conversation with Variety India, the versatile star shared his vision for a pure horror drama set against the mystical backdrop of Rajasthan.

Vijay Varma on horror comedy drama

The actor spoke to Variety India about wanting to direct a movie. When asked more, he funnily shared the type of film: full horror. He said, "I would love to do a horror set in Rajasthan. Very ‘jaadu-tona’ kind of a horror. Very psychological, [but] at the same time, straight-up horror, not like laced up with comedy. A horror drama."

Sharing the spotlight are Sai Tamhankar, Kritika Kamra, Siddharth Jadhav, Jamie Lever, and Gulshan Grover. Vijay's also tapped for Netflix's ‘Family Business’ series, loaded with stars like Anil Kapoor, Akash Khurana, Rhea Chakraborty, Neha Dhupia, and others.
