Talking at The Indian Express event, Vijay revealed his roles often made women, including admirers and their mothers, feel intimidated; something which personally bothers him.

Vijay shared that feedback from audiences has included comments about being 'scared' of him, particularly highlighting an experience from the film 'Pink'.

He recalled an all-women screening which he attended earlier. The mood had changed completely at the end of 'Pink'. Most women present were tearful after watching the intense themes of the film and were moved.

This caused him a lot of pain, especially when he realized singer Sunidhi Chauhan was scared of him and even said that she did not want him near her, even after the screening.

Shocked by the reaction, he thinks about the impact his performances can have.

Despite this unsettling feedback, Vijay noted that he has worked to redefine his on-screen persona through diverse roles in the projects such as 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack' and Kaalkoot.

ETimes rated 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack' a solid 4 out of 5. Our review read, "With outstanding storytelling, a gripping narrative, and powerful performances, 'IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack' is a binge-worthy must- watch'.
