Vijay Deverakonda reacts to fans demanding his comeback after ‘Liger’ failure

Expectations were high from Vijay Deverakonda’s Bollywood debut film ‘Liger’, which tanked badly at the box office. Directed by Puri Jagannadh, the film featured Ananya Panday as the leading lady.
Speaking about the film’s failure, Vijay recently admitted that he had not handled the matter with grace. He also reacted to his admirers asking about his comeback plans after the debacle of ‘Liger’."Wherever I go, fans keep saying, ‘Anna, you have to give a comeback. I wanted to tell you, I didn’t go anywhere,” said a confident Vijay during a recent event. Previously, during an awards ceremony, Vijay had turned emotional about ‘Liger’ and said, “We all have good days, we all have not-so-good days, we all have sh**ty days. But irrespective of how we feel, we need to get up. Maybe I didn’t want to be here, taking this award. But I came here and as I speak to you, I promise that I will get the job done for all of you, and you will be entertained. And great cinema will be made. Thank you.”
‘Liger’, featured Vijay in the role of an Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter with a speech disability. The film was simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi. ‘Liger’ Hindi concluded its theatrical run with just Rs 20 crore nett.
