Vijay Deverakonda and
Ananya Panday starrer 'Liger' has been released in the South circuit in theatres. It will release in the Hindi belts later in the day. Unfortunately, the film has fallen prey to online piracy. Hours after its theatrical release, the
Puri Jagannadh directorial has been leaked online.
According to the latest reports, 'Liger' is available for download on Tamilrockers, Movierulz and other piracy sites.
The film's box office number might be affected amid mixed reviews and piracy. Earlier, Ranbir Kapoor's 'Shamshera',
Aamir Khan's 'Laal Singh Chaddha',
Akshay Kumar's 'Raksha Bandhan' and other films also faced the same issue. All the films were leaked online and it affected their box office figures.
'Liger' also stars
Ramya Krishnan,
Rohit Roy, and Makarand Deshpande in important roles. It also features
Mike Tyson in a special role. The film has released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
Fans were super excited to see Vijay's Bollywood debut but it looks like the mixed reviews might play a spoilsport. The ongoing boycott trend might also affect it. Netizens have been boycotting a lot of films lately. Since 'Liger' is backed by
Karan Johar, people are not willing to watch it in theatres.
