since the beginning of the year. Sources close to the actress say that she is looking out to do substantial roles and only wants to be part of meaningful cinema.
Recently, Vidya came on board as the goodwill ambassador of a Mumbai-based non-profit organisation that works in tandem with schools and communities to increase awareness on the grim issue of child sexual abuse. The actress will work with the organisation to spread awareness to schools across Maharashtra. She will brainstorm and help authorities formulate new initiatives that will be added to the ongoing programme.
