Vidya Balan is all set to play the Indian magical mathematician Shakuntala Devi in her next film, which is a biopic on this maths wizard. Today on the legend's 90th birth anniversary, Vidya Balan took to her social media handle to pay a tribute to one of the legendary personalities of our nation.

Moreover, an excited Bhumi Pednekar who was last seen in 'Saand Ki Aankh' along with Taapsee Pannu expressed her excitement to watch Vidya Balan as Shakuntala Devi. She shared the same picture on her social media handle and commented on looking forward to watch Vidya portraying the character.

Vidya Balan had already impressed the masses with a jaw-dropping first look of her as Shakuntala Devi. The film is set for a summer 2020 release and is directed by Anu Menon of "London, Paris, New York" and "Four More Shots Please!" fame. The film is backed by Vikram Malhotra and will tell the story of Shakuntala Devi who is still known as a human-computer. Surprisingly, her genius was first discovered at the age of 5, when she solved a math problem meant for 18-year-old students. Though she never received any formal education, her talent for numbers also earned her a place in the 1982 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.
The film stars 'Badhaai Ho' fame Sanya Malhotra, who will play the role of Shakuntala Devi's daughter. The team has already started the initial work on the movie and shall go on floors soon. The film is written by Menon along with Nayanika Mahtani while the dialogues are penned by Ishita Moitra.
