Vidya Balan reacts to Sanjay Dutt's impending release from jail

She started her Bollywood career alongside Sanjay Dutt in 'Parineeta' more than a decade ago, worked with him in films like 'Eklavya' and 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai' and went on to become one of Sanju's best friends and closest colleague. No wonder that when he was put behind bars to serve the remainder of his sentence in Yerwada Jail, actress Vidya Balan was devastated and rightly so.

However, now that Dutt is all set to walk free in a couple of days, Vidya, in an exclusive chat with TimesOfIndia.com, has spoken her heart out about her 'Munna Bhai' co-star and what she feels about Dutt, who is being released nine months prior to his actual release month.
"I am happy. There will no longer be this sword hanging over Sanju's head since he has served his term. God bless him so he is able to enjoy quality time with his family and particularly his children. He is someone I am truly fond of and I wish him the best always," says Vidya.
While the work on Munna Bhai 3's script is already in full swing, with director Raju Hirani working day in and day out to start the film as soon as possible; what infuses our curiosity is that whether Vidya will once again star opposite Dutt in the next part of the super-hit franchise.
Their chemistry in 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai' was loved by one and all and it would be a visual delight to see the two powerhouse actors come together to create some more magic on screen.
