Vidya Balan opens up on privacy in marriage; says, ‘Family should not come in between a married couple’

Actor Vidya Balan, who has been married for over a decade to film producer Siddharth Roy Kapur, has shared interesting relationship advice for married couples, their friends and families.

In an interview with India Today, Vidya explained that the key to a happy marriage is understanding that marriage is between two people and should remain between two people at all times. She emphasized the importance of communication and sharing to achieve this.

Elaborating further, Vidya mentioned that adding another person, whether it's family or friends, is not permitted in the relationship between two people, particularly in a marriage. She described the relationship as deliciously layered, intricate, intimate, and personal, making it impossible for a third person to understand the emotions between the couple. Referring to a line from her latest film 'Do Aur Do Pyaar', she emphasized the importance of "showing up every day" as the essence of the relationship.

Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur got married in Mumbai on December 14, 2012, following a few years of courtship.
