Vicky Kaushal's surprise call to Rakesh Bedi mid interview; 'Chhaava' star says he loved his work in 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'

In 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', Rakesh Bedi plays Jameel Jamali, a loud Pakistani politician from Karachi. His character brings humour and energy to the intense spy thriller. Now, an interesting incident has happened. Actor Rakesh Bedi was in the middle of an interview when his phone rang. It was Vicky Kaushal on the line, calling to personally praise his performance in 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'.

The surprise call happened during a chat with The Lallantop. Vicky sounded genuinely impressed and took time to tell Rakesh Bedi how much he enjoyed the film.

Vicky told him, “Parso raat ko maine film (Dhurandhar: The Revenge) dekhi and I am just so blown away by the film and especially by your performance. It's incredible. Aap jab jab screen pe aaye hain itna maza aaya hai, I am sure everybody who has watched the film can say the same thing.” (“Day before yesterday night, I watched the film (Dhurandhar: The Revenge), and I am just so blown away by the film, especially by your performance. He said every time Rakesh Bedi appeared on screen, it was pure fun. Vicky made it clear that the whole film had left a strong impression on him.

When the host asked Vicky to say Bedi’s famous line “Bachcha hai tu mera,” Vicky joked that every actor feels like a child in front of him. Rakesh Bedi laughed and replied, “Chal tu bol raha hai toh mai bhi bol deta hu, Bachcha hai tu mera.”

The call ended on a sweet note with Vicky saying, “Love you, sir!”

The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Danish Pandor and Sara Arjun in important roles. 'Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge' is still going strong at the box office. On Day 17 it added Rs 25.65 Cr in India net. The India gross now stands at Rs 1,179.30 Cr while the worldwide total has crossed Rs 2,871.65 Cr. Overseas collections alone have reached Rs 385 Cr, as reported by Sacnilk.
