, was admitted to the ICU of a cardiac care hospital in Sion Monday.

The hospital administrator of SR Mehta Cardiac Hospital said, "The patient was brought after suffering a heart problem. He is stable and improving and we hope to discharge him soon." Sarhadi was admitted to the same hospital after suffering a heart attack in February 2018.

His nephew, noted director Ramesh Talwar who was by his side Tuesday, said he was recovering and would likely be discharged in two or three days.

Sagar Sarhadi, whose real name is Ganga Sagar Talwar, hails from Abbottabad, now in Pakistan. He is a veteran IPTA member who introduced artistes like Farooque Shaikh and Shabana Azmi in his inter-collegiate theatre competitions for Khalsa and St Xavier's in the late 60s and early 70s
