Shabana Azmi, who was among the first few celebrities to arrive at Anil Kapoor&#39;s residence to offer her condolences, has cancelled her annual Holi celebrations. Taking to Twitter, Shabana issued a statement that she has cancelled the Holi party in the wake of her friend&#39;s passing. An Indian Consulate official has confirmed that veteran actress Sridevi's mortal remains will be ready for repatriation between 1pm to 2pm (Dubai time). According to reports, Sridevi's husband Boney Kapoor, who had returned from Mumbai, went to her room in a Dubai hotel at around 5.30pm. He found her lying motionless in the bathroom. He tried to revive her. On not being able to do so, Boney allegedly called a friend and later informed the police.

Her sudden death has come as a shock to all, especially family and colleagues. But those who paid hard-earned money for a date with her in sweaty theatres will always remember her as a star who always delivered on the promise of a paisa vasool trip to the world of their dreams and fantasies.

The Padma Shri recipient made a comeback to Bollywood in 2012 with "English Vinglish" after a long break of 15 years. She was last seen in "Mom" in 2017.

The hotel, however, refused to comment on the matter and an employee stated that the matter is under police investigation.

She reportedly had a fainting spell in her bathroom and was immediately rushed to Rashid Hospital in Dubai, the report said.

UAE officials have revealed that Sridevi's autopsy has been completed and the family is now awaiting laboratory reports conducted by the General Department of Forensic Evidence.

"Boney Kapoor, Jhanvi, Khushi and the entire Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family is deeply bereaved and shocked with the untimely loss of Sridevi Kapoor," the statement, issued on Sunday evening by the Yash Raj Films (YRF) on behalf of the family, said.

She had gone to Dubai along with her family to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding.
