Varun Sharma, 23, (Choocha of Fukrey) paid heavily for getting over zealous on the sets. The young actor, who is currently shooting in Thailand for his underproduction film, Yaaran Da Katchup, hurt his left knee in a mishap while performing a scene. The impact of the injury was such that Varun could not move for three days and was bed ridden, eventually making the producers jittery.
While speaking with us over phone from Bangkok, Varun said, "Bad days are going on. But I am recovering and have resumed the shoot. However, I still can't walk properly, but what to do, as we have less time left to wrap up the shoot here."
According to sources, in the sequence Varun had to run and jump to grab something. "He faltered with the timing and had a freefall with stress on his left side," said a source adding, "He was later taken for thorough checkup, MRI and other tests."
While on a 15-day tour to Thailand, Varun had kept aside two days to visit Ko Samui islands. "Let's see if I get time. Injury has scrunched the schedule," said Varun. He's now working for 15 to 16 hours a day to catch up with the delayed schedule.
