Biopic on hockey legend Dhyan
Chand is finally ready to kick off. Four years ago Dhyan Chand's son Ashok Dyan Chand had sold the movie rights of his father's film to producer
Pooja Shetty and
Aarti Shetty
, but there was no development until now.
Buzz is that the Shetty sisters have now taken the project to Karan Johar and the film is ready to go on floors. Reports suggest Karan Johar had approached
Ranbir Kapoor to play the lead but he declined it for reasons unknown, after which Karan approached
Varun Dhawan who seemed quite excited to play the hockey legend on-screen.
