The makers had originally planned to launch the trailer during a special event in Mumbai on Thursday. Later, the release was postponed to June 12 following the announcement of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups starring Yash. The makers later decided to prepone the release once again and finalised June 4 as the theatrical release date. Interestingly, the title 'Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai' has a nostalgic Bollywood connection.
The title is inspired by the popular song from the 1999 comedy 'Biwi No.1'.
