'Vanvaas': Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma's 'emotional rollercoaster ride' gets a release date; Poster out!

After the immense success of 'Gadar 2', director Anil Sharma announced his next film, 'Vanvaas'. The announcement was made on the occasion of Dussehra (October 12). Moreover, the film stars Anil's son, Utkarsh Sharma, and, Nana Patekar in the lead roles.

Today, on October 21, the 'Gadar 2' director Anil Sharma, along with his son Utkarsh Sharma, Nana Patekar, Rajpal Yadav, Simratt Kaur Randhawa, and Zee Studios. The caption read, "This Christmas, recognize your loved ones. Anil Sharma brings you his next emotional rollercoaster! #Vanvaas, releasing on December 20th, in cinemas near you."

The poster showcases Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma standing side by side, arms wrapped around each other’s shoulders, exuding a sense of camaraderie. They are seen standing cross-legged on a street, with Nana dressed casually in a blazer, pants, a hat, and a loose tie, holding a bag. Utkarsh, sporting a vest with his shirt unbuttoned, holds a bottle in his hand.

Soon after the post was shared, numerous fans rushed to the comments section to express their excitement about the film. One fan wrote, "Ek dam dhamaakedaar," while another commented, "Can’t wait." A third fan exclaimed, "Sooo excited!" and another added, "Upcoming blockbuster movie."


Recently, Anil Sharma announced the film Apne Hi Apno Ko Dete Hai: 'Vanvaas' with a captivating video that offers a first glimpse of its fervor, featuring stunning visuals and an exhilarating background score. The video also includes the song "Ram Ram," which transports viewers into its divine realm. He captioned the video, ““Parivaar ke liye ek Parivaarik film #Vanvaas. Aap sabhi ko Dussehra ki hardik shubhkamnayein (sic).”

According to News 18, Anil Sharma said, “Ramayana and Vanvaas is a different take on the same where kids make their parents take exile. Kalyug Ka Ramayana jaha Apne hi Dete Hai Apno ko Vanvaas.” The movie is promised to be a fresh take on the modern-day relationship between kids and their parents.

The film will hit the theaters on December 20, 2024.
