Daughter of one of the pioneers of Indian cinema V Shantaram and wife of the legendary Pandit Jasraj, Madhura Jasraj, is all set to direct her first Hindi film. 'It is an ode to my father. I don't mean to boast but the film will be in his space as it is not a commercial entertainer. It has a message and is a social drama that raises voice against rape,' she says.
About directing her first Hindi film at the age of 78, she adds, 'I have directed a Marathi film but at 78, I am probably the oldest person to make a debut as a director in Hindi cinema. I don't see age as an issue. My body works fine and so does my mind. I have a team who calls me aai (mother) and stands by me."
