in UP. The latest in the list of films to be made tax-free in the state in 2016 is '

Nil Battey Sannata

' starring Swara Bhaskar.

Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav broke the news by tweeting about it on Thursday evening, 'Touched by the story of 'Nil Battey Sannata', which was filmed in Agra. We have made the film tax free in UP (sic).' Vishal Kapoor, member Film Bandhu adds, 'The idea is to make such good films accessible to people across the state.' Meanwhile, Salman Khan finished shooting portions of his film 'Sultan' in Morna, district Muzaffarnagar on Thursday.

And even before the shoot had begun in UP, Madan Chauhan, minister for entertainment tax declared the film tax-free in UP! He was quoted as saying, 'Since the shooting of 'Sultan' will be taking place in Muzaffarnagar, it will be made tax-free in the state. This way other filmmakers will also be motivated to shoot their films in Uttar Pradesh.'
