Virgin Bhanupriya

', which just released on the OTT platform. The film was slated to release in theatre, but the makers had to finally opt for an OTT release due to the uncertainty of theatre opening during the pandemic. The former beauty queen (Miss Diva Universe 2015) turned actress is, however, quite happy with the feedback she's been receiving with its launch on a digital platform. While talking to an entertainment channel, she expressed awe at the reach of the medium and the feedback she has been receiving for her work.


Often seen in ultra-glam roles or item songs, cine-buffs were quite surprised to see Urvashi in a

geeky avatar

. However, that's not the only thing that's different about from her previous avatars. Apart from the fact that she gets to play an innocent and geeky girl, the other factor that drove her to do the film is that she liked the heroine's relationship with her parents, who are divorced. Through tackling the brouhaha made out of virginity in the country and how it is seen as a reflection of a girl's character even today, it also touches on the topics of peer pressure and virginity being a personal choice. She also says that unlike Akshay Kumar's film '

Pad Man

', which takes on a female issue of menstruation and sanitary pads through a man's point-of-view, 'Virgin Bhanupriya' is about women's sexuality seen through a woman's point-of-view. Directed by Ajay Lohan, the film also features 'Bigg Boss 8' winner, Gautam Gulati and Archana Puran Singh, among others.


The actress has a neat following on social media. Her Insta account is full of her glamorous pictures with a rare candid moment on it. The latest picture that Urvashi posted seems like a boomerang and it has her looking stunning with grey winged eyes, dark arches and pink-tinted lips. Needless to add, it's gone viral.
