'Unhone badi imandaari ke saath rishtey nibhaaye': Irrfan's brother Imran mourns the acclaimed actor's untimely demise

Opening up on the untimely demise of Irrfan Khan, his brother Imran said, "Irrfan bhaijaan lived his life with honesty. Unhone badi imandaari ke saath rishtey nibhaaye. Despite his hectic schedule, he would check on us. He even attended my daughter's wedding in Jaipur two years ago."

"Main behad darta tha unse (I used to be extremely scared of him). I don't know why. May be because he was my elder brother and I had immense respect and love for him," he added.

Imran was with Irrfan in Mumbai from January till the last week of February. He had last spoken to him on the phone around a week ago. "We used to talk about his health and his love for gardening. Bhaijaan had developed a keen interest in gardening for the last few years. He had created a mini garden in the back of his house in Mumbai," Imran said.

"It's a huge loss for all of us. First we lost our mother and now Irrfan bhaijaan. But shayad Allah ki yehi marzi thi. Life must continue and we must learn to live it. As Bhaijaan used to say during his illness, 'Dekhte hain, oont kis karwat baithta hai'."
