Kajol will soon be seen hosting a new chat show called ‘Two Much’. The show will feature eminent celebrities as guests with names like
Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan. The trailer was released today and shows fun moments and friendly conversations, making it a must-watch for Bollywood fans. At the trailer launch event, the duo hilariously delved into how they became 'insurance agents' and 'telemarketers' to enlist celebrities into their show.
How did Kajol and Twinkle Khanna come together for 'Two Much'?
During the trailer launch, Kajol shared that the production company helming her web-series, ‘The Trial Season 2’ approached her first for the talk show ‘Two Much’. They decided that Twinkle was the only one who could match Kajol’s blend of sarcasm and unfiltered commentary.
Twinkle admitted that inviting their so-called “friends” from the film industry wasn’t easy. She joked, “Who said they’re our friends? They are not. We became insurance agents and telemarketers, and made cold calls to everyone. Whoever said yes, we got them on the show.”
Kajol laughed along as Twinkle said only two things mattered for their guest list: “they should be breathing” and “be available.” She ended with her special request to guests: “Leave your dignity behind.”

Khanna emphasized that 'Two Much' offers more than just typical celebrity chatter. "What’s really special about our show is that while there’s a lot of laughter and joy, there is also an unravelling of psychological and societal layers and viewpoints. We tried to go a little bit deeper than other chat shows. That’s our USP. It’s fun, irreverent, but it’s not so frivolous at all. It’s got some gravitas," she said.

Govinda as her favorite guest
When asked about their favourite guests on the show, Kajol first named Salman and Aamir Khan but then changed it to Govinda, with Twinkle agreeing. Kajol said, “He was so super entertaining! Not to say that everybody was not nice or whatever, but Govinda is Govinda! Nobody can argue with that. He’s an icon.”
She added, “We had to edit so much of it. But it was so much fun. What the two of us say to and around each other is really, really funny. Because when I look back at it, I am like, ‘How the hell did we say this.’ It’s really not politically correct”.
Kajol and Twinkle Khanna on sharing a 'behen' bond
Khanna described Kajol as her "behen" on the show, saying, “It’s really true because like sisters, we bicker and make fun of each other, but we also have each other’s back. I think that’s very important to have on a show like this.” She also shared a funny behind-the-scenes moment from Two Much: “We’d put on our rollers and then bang our heads together to decide who’s going to ask the worst questions to the most boring people!”.
Shah Rukh Khan’s absence from 'Two Much'
Although many guests on 'Two Much' share an on-screen history with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna from the ’90s and early 2000s, some famous faces were notably absent from the trailer. Shah Rukh Khan, for example, is rumored to appear in the grand finale. Kajol commented, “It’s a rumour, confirm it with him. If he comes on stage, do ask him.”
Twinkle responded humorously, “Shah Rukh came, we asked him questions, he didn’t answer anything. After some time, he went to the bathroom and they took him away. We were quite disappointed, and then we realized we couldn’t get Shah Rukh’s dates so we got his cardboard cutout. So, we have him.”
The respective husbands play a role in ‘Two Much’
Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar, husbands of Kajol and Twinkle Khanna respectively, are also expected to appear on the show. Twinkle shared that their spouses are concerned about how outspoken the two hosts are, especially when they are together.
Kajol joked, “No more censorship. It shall not happen again. It’s a law, we’ve passed it.” Twinkle added, “My husband always tells me, ‘Chashma pehen lo’ (wear your spectacles), which is a codeword for ‘Keep quiet.’ So I told him, ‘Mera chashma toot gaya’ (I broke my spectacles).”
When asked if their husbands are avoiding the show, Twinkle humorously responded, “There are a lot of AKs on the show. If you’re lucky, you’ll get the one you want.”
Kajol and Twinkle Khanna praise Karan Johar amid the roasting
Even though Kajol and Twinkle have playfully roasted their friend and filmmaker Karan Johar many times on his chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’, this time Kajol had praise for him. She said, “Karan is a very, very good speaker. He has done this chat show for so many years (since 2004). We did try to make him uncomfortable, but I have to say, hands down, he’s spoken very, very well.” Twinkle chimed in with a grin, “She’s being very nice. We’ve troubled him off camera, on camera, and he tries to wriggle his way out of it. I’m not sure if he succeeded.”
'Two Much' will premiere on Amazon Prime Video from September 25, 2025 with new episodes dropping every Thursday.
