‘Tumbbad’ actor Mohammad Samad reveals his career plans

Mohammad Samad had received a lot of praise for his performance in the film, ‘Tumbbad’. And now, the 18-year-old actor is all set for his next outing — a digital series titled ‘Selection Day’.

While most youngsters his age would dream of stardom and commercial success, this teenager his different. Exuding a wisdom and maturity beyond his years, Mohammad told a news agency that he wants to be part of good stories and work with good people. The reason: Well, he believes that when he works with a good team, he will learn and enjoy his work all the more. He added that as an actor, that’s what he is looking forward to.

The series will see Samad playing a budding cricketer, whose dream in life is to study Science. Produced by Anil Kapoor, it also features Rajesh Tailang, Karanvir Malhotra, Mahesh Manjrekar, Ratna Pathak Shah and Akshay Oberoi.

When asked if he was nervous to share screen space with such a talented bunch of actors,
Mohammad said that he was a bit nervous initially, but got over his fears and intimidation once he started interacting with the cast and the crew.

The young actor, who made his Bollywood debut with (Gattu) 2011, also said that he doesn’t want to be a part of stories that appear on television these days.
