Year 2018 took everyone on a roller coaster ride. From controversies to block busters and a few dreamy weddings, the year was just like any masala Bollywood film that made everyone cry, laugh, rejoice and encourage. Now that the year is on its verge to bid adieu in order to welcome the new one we come up with a round up for our fans. There were handful of movies that were in the news often while there were a few actors who grabbed our attention. There are too many things which can be summed up under this year, however, we come up with top highlights and news makers of the year.

The power couple, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas tied the knot in a not lesser than any fairy tale set up ceremonies. While Deepika and Ranveer chose Lake Como, Italy as their wedding destination with only handful of guests attending the wedding, Priyanka-Nick turned a little bit desi with getting married at Umaid Bhawan in Jodhpur with having hundreds of close friends and family in attendance. Interestingly, both DeepVeer and Nickyanka got married in two different traditions on two separate days. DeepVeer took nuptials vows according to Sindhi and Konkani traditions where as Priyanka-Nick tied the knot, one in a white wedding which followed Christain customs and the other with Punjabi tradition. Both the marriages grabbed majority eye balls and fans were just drooling over the newly married pictures which were shared by the DeepVeer and Nickyanka themselves.

Bollywood industry cried its heart out when the news of superstar Sridevi's demise hit the nation. It was one of the huge losses which Bollywood has suffered till date. Sridevi breathed her last in the bathroom of her hotel room in Dubai, with the autopsy report citing 'accidental drowning' as the cause of death. Around 3 am on Sunday - 25th February 2018 - news broke about Sridevi's sudden demise, reportedly, due to cardiac arrest in Dubai. She was there to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding along with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other politicians also shared their shock and offered their sympathies to the family.

The year 2018 would be incomplete if we forget to mention the MeToo movement surfacing in Bollywood. It all started with Tanushree Dutta who accused Nana Patekar and others for allegedly harassing her on the sets of 'Horn Ok Pleassss' in the year 2008. The actress opened up the topic after 10 years which brought many controversies in light. After Tanushree, many women gained courage to speak about their MeToo stories in public. Encouraged by Tanushree, Vinta Nanda, writer and producer opened up about the years old harassment she faced. She accused veteran actor Alok Nath of raping her years back. This again created waves in the industry and the concerned bodies were also compelled to take serious actions against the accused. Many singers, producer, director and biggies from the industry were accused of such allegations.

This year was indeed disheartening for Kapoors as the decision of selling out their iconic R.K.Studio was made by the family with the heavy hearts. The R.K. Studio was erected by the showman Raj Kapoor in the year 1948 and now exactly after 70 years, the property is up for sale, sighting losses. Rishi Kapoor said that it has been a heart-wrenching decision for the Kapoors to close down something which is associated with their name for so long. Each and every member of the Kapoor family is massively connected to the hallowed grounds. The family initially was giving a thought to renovate the place after the fire broke out but that is not possible with such incurring loses. There were reports that R.K.Studio should be turned into a film school or a museum should be erected at the place. However, nothing has been finalised on the same. As Kapoors were getting back to normal after the big decision, the big lady of the family, Krishna Kapoor left for the heavenly abode leaving the family in sadness again.

Cancer this year was spreading like any other contagious disease this year in Bollywood. Irfaan Khan was the first one to share his illness with a tweet which said he is suffering from Cancer for which he was under going treatment in New York. Till the time Bollywood would digest the fact of Irfaan suffering from Cancer, Sonali Bendre shook one and all with her cancer illness. The beautiful actress suffered from Metastic cancer and was under going treatment in New York. However, she is back in Mumbai and recovering from the illness in the company of her loved ones. Though no one confirmed on the same, reports has it that even Rishi Kapoor is under going a cancer treatment. Though no family member confirmed on the same.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan's little munchkin was the star kid of 2018. Taimur Ali Khan has became the most loved and favouite kid of media. His outings with his nanny and mom Kareena Kapoor has grabbed major headlines. His cute gestures and friendship with the shutterbugs is always talked about. Interesting, Taimur's popularity has become so huge that a Taimur doll has arrived in the market.The little nawab is grabbing limelight now and then while Saifeena are making sure to keep their kid away from this gilts and glamour world as they want Taimur to enjoy his childhood. But the little bundle of joy is so infectious that no one can skip a conversation without mentioning his name.
