TOIFA has restored trust and credibility in film awards: Sanya Malhotra

Sanya Malhotra is elated on winning the Acting Excellence in a Comedy Role - Web Film - for Kathal – A Jackfruit Mystery at the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) 2023 – OTT edition recently. The inaugural edition of the award show witnessed some of the finest talent in the industry take home their trophies with pride.

Sanya, who couldn’t be there at the grand awards night, shared a video expressing her joy on winning the award for a film that she says is really special to her. Thanking TOIFA for the recognition and for restoring her trust in film awards, she said, “Winning a TOIFA award feels incredibly special and that, too, for a special film like Kathal. The fact that this award is supported by industry stalwarts, which includes the Advisory Council members and a Screening Jury, adds immense value to this recognition.”
