Tina Desae's dinner date with Richard Gere

Actress Tina Desae has some fond memories of shooting with Hollywood actor Richard Gere in Rajasthan for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, sequel of the 2011 film.

Richard is an addition to the film's original cast. When we bumped into Tina recently, we probed her about working with the Hollywood A-lister. She revealed, "He is a Buddhist, so is extremely calm and doesn't get worked up easily.On one of the off days, we took a boat ride to Jal Mahal, drank champagne and then went for an early Rajasthani dinner. He maintains a strict diet so avoided Rajasthani delicacy Laal Maas (red meat) and opted for potatoes instead." Tina added, "Richard and the British actors were extremely fond of Indian food. In fact there were days when I would order pasta but they would stick to Indian cuisine."
