Timeline of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and 6 others' arrest by NCB in drugs case
Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan’s son Aryan Khan, who enjoys a massive fan following on social media, was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2 after they raided a cruise ship and busted a drug party. It was reported that psychotropic and banned drugs like hashish, cocaine, and MD were recovered from the party being conducted on the cruise. Soon after, the star kid was detained, he was questioned by the NCB officials.

NCB’s statement
On Sunday, the NCB revealed the names of the people they had detained from the cruise ship. Apart from Aryan, other names included Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra, and Arbaaz Merchant. The NCB officials initiated the arrest memos on Sunday afternoon, and later the arrested were taken for a medical examination. Aryan, Arbaaz, and Munmun were taken to the court on Sunday for a hearing after recording their statements.
Charges on Aryan Khan
Sources close to the NCB investigation revealed that Aryan will be charged only for consumption of illegal drugs. The investigating officials will continue to probe other possible angles to the case, as well. The star kid has been charged under sections 8C, 20B, 27 and 35 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. On October 3, he was presented before the killa court, along with others, and he was represented by senior advocate Satish Manshinde. NCB Counsel, while agreeing that the offences are bailable, sought for remand till October 5, but the court ordered Aryan, NCB custody till October 4.
Sameer Wankhede on Aryan Khan’s case
NCB Zonal director Sameer Wankhede exclusively revealed to ETimes the way forward for NCB’s investigation in the case. He said that they are exploring the links of the accused with a drug peddler. He told ETimes, “We have apprehended one peddler from the supply chain of this group of youngsters, who had made a booking together for the event. We are investigating his links with the accused. That's been new detention from our department. We found some drugs in his possession, too.”
Bollywood celebs support SRK
Soon after the news of Aryan Khan getting arrested broke, a lot of celebs were seen coming out to support Shah Rukh Khan and his family. Celebs like Hansal Mehta, Pooja Bhatt, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi expressed their support on social media. Apart from them, Salman Khan was seen arriving at SRK’s residence on Sunday night to extend his support. After he appeared at Mannat, fans were all praise for the actor. They also recalled their ‘Karan Arjun’ moment.
Applying for bail
It was earlier being said that the NCB will not seek Aryan’s custody furthermore. But the latest reports suggest that the agency is likely to seek his custody for further investigation. The star kid’s bail hearing will be held today afternoon. The moment Aryan Khan will be sent to judicial custody today, his lawyers will apply for a bail. Before heading to the court, Aryan and others were taken for medical tests at the JJ hospital in Mumbai.
