Tigmanshu Dhulia reveals Saif Ali Khan being late on the set of 'Bullett Raja' led to extended schedule: 'I was under a lot of pressure'

Director Tigmanshu Dhulia, known for his films like 'Paan Singh Tomar' and 'Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster', recently opened up about his experience working with Saif Ali Khan in 'Bullett Raja'. He mentioned that due to Saif being late on set, the makers had to extend the shooting schedule. The 2013 movie also starred Sonakshi Sinha in a key role.

In an interview with Mashable India, Dhulia reflected on his experience making 'Bullett Raja'. He mentioned that while the overall experience was positive, it could have been improved with more time. The shoot, initially planned for 75 days, extended to 102 days, adding pressure due to limited daylight during the winter season. Dhulia also noted that actor Saif Ali Khan's tardiness affected the schedule. "I was under a lot of pressure. We were shooting during winters, so we would get less daylight. Saif wouldn’t come on time," he added.


Tigmanshu earlier told IANS, “I think the casting went wrong with 'Bullett Raja'. Many people told me the casting was wrong, but when I was making the film, nobody told me… even during editing, nobody told me. Maybe, I don’t know. We all make mistakes… it happens.”

On the other hand, Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming collaboration with Jr NTR, 'Devara: Part 1', is directed by Koratala Siva. The movie also features Janhvi Kapoor, Shruti Marathe, and Prakash Raj in key roles. It will be released on September 27.
