Tiger Shroff may look fearless on screen, but in real life, he has a big fear. The actor has revealed that he is scared of flying. He said this fear started after a very rough flight a few years ago. Since then, even the thought of boarding a plane makes him anxious. He shared that days before travelling, his heart starts racing and his mind keeps playing scary thoughts. Tiger said in an interview, “Recently I have developed this fear of flying. I was on a very turbulent flight a couple of years back, and since then I have developed aerophobia.”
Jumping from buildings feels easy to him
What surprises people the most is how calm Tiger is when it comes to dangerous stunts. Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, he said he can jump off a building without any fear. For him, stunts feel natural and simple. Tiger explained, “What’s weird is that you can ask me to do the most difficult stunt ask me to jump off the roof of Grand Hyatt into the swimming pool. I can do that without thinking.” He added that flying scares him more than any stunt ever could.
Fitness and movement help his anxiety
Tiger also spoke about how working out helps him deal with fear and stress. He said physical movement is like therapy for him. When he feels anxious, he needs to move his body. He shared, “I channelise that through my physicality and my physical expression. That’s therapy for me.” Tiger admitted that even his trainers have to stop him sometimes because he finds it hard to rest. He said rest is important, but mentally, he struggles with it.
Looking back at films feels painful and proud
Talking about his movies, Tiger said watching them as an audience feels nice. But remembering the effort behind them is tough. He said every film pushed him harder than the last one. “All of my films have been gruelling experiences, and the action sequences always have to be better than the last time,” he shared. Still, he feels comfortable with tough work because movement makes him feel safe.
Doing his stunt double’s job with respect
The 'Singham Again' actor also spoke about doing his own stunts. Sometimes even his body double gets worried. Tiger recalled, “Sometimes my body double will look at me and ask, ‘Sir, are you sure you want to do this?’” He joked that he ends up doing his body double’s job but made it clear that he still ensures the person gets paid. He said action gives him joy because he grew up watching
Jackie Chan films and feels no fear while doing stunts.
Coming to the work front it seems that Tiger's action is not working that effectively on screen as majority of his recent films were flops. He was last seen in the actioner 'Baaghi 4' which faced immense trolling due to it's underwhelming content.
