Speaking to Curly Tales, Tiger had explained, "I used to bite people when I was a kid and that is pretty much how I got my name." This unusual habit led to the nickname sticking, eventually becoming his official name in the film industry.

Tiger's father, Jackie Shroff, whose real name is Jai Kishen, influenced his birth name. Tiger elaborated, "My name was Jai Hemant. My father's name is Jai Kishen, who became Jackie in the movies. My uncle's name is Hemant and that is how it became Jai Hemant Shroff." Despite this, the name "Tiger" stuck from childhood and became the actor's stage name. During the interview, Tiger's co-star in 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', Akshay Kumar, found the story amusing, remarking, "That's amazing."

On the work front, Tiger Shroff will be seen in Rohit Shetty's cop universe 'Singham Again'. He has been introduced as the fierce ACP Satya in the saga. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone among others.
