Throwback: When Siddharth Anand reacted to the possibility of Fighter 2: 'Never say never....'

'Fighter' starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone released on January 25, and was quite successful at the box office. Hence, fans are hoping if there would be a sequel to the film, and if 'Fighter' would become a franchise.


In an old interview, director Siddharth Anand reacted to this possibility during a chat with Pinkvilla, and the director said that he gets nervous to make part 2s. He added that he's one of the directors who has not yet made a sequel because he likes to refrain from that. However, Anand said, 'never say never'. So, the love of the audience will decide what to do. As of now, it's just been 3-4 days to the release and he has some great ideas for 'Fighter 2' which he wants to pen down.

Siddharth also added that he is not excited to make sequels at the moment as he wants to create new characters and new stories. There is a certain amount of comfort zone in sequels and a director starts relying on the nostalgia. If he does that, then the director will feel stagnanted and he would get into a comfort zone. Anand clarified that he doesn't want to get into a comfort zone.

While on the film's star Hrithik Roshan, on November 1, Saba Azad turned 39, and the occasion was marked by a heartfelt Instagram post from her better half. Hrithik shared a collection of photos showcasing their joyful moments together, beginning with a sweet selfie from one of their trips and including candid snapshots from their adventure-packed vacations.

Further, in one of the photos shared by Hrithik for Saba's birthday, the couple is seen enjoying a meal at a restaurant abroad. The post concluded with an image of Saba soaking up the sun on a busy street. Hrithik's affectionate message read: “Happy Birthday Sa. Thank you for you. 1.11.2024."

After Roshan's sweet birthday post for Saba, several celebrities took to social media to share their wishes for the actress. Hrithik's ex-wife, Sussanne Khan, wrote, “Happy birthday darling Saboo." Sussanne’s brother, actor Zayed Khan, added a supportive message: “Happy birthday, Saba! Shine on." Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar kept it straightforward with “Happy Birthday, Saba," while Hrithik’s cousin, actress Pashmina Roshan, described her as the “cutest.”

Hrithik also celebrated Diwali with his family, sharing a series of pictures on Instagram. The festivities included his girlfriend Saba Azad, sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan, and his parents. Hrithik wore a white kurta pyjama while Saba donned a pink lehenga. In one photo, they lit diyas together on a balcony. He wished his fans with the caption, “Happy Diwali beautiful people.”


Hrithik and Saba have been in a relationship for some time, having made it public in 2022. Hrithik was previously married to Sussanne Khan, with whom he shares two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. Despite their divorce in 2014, Hrithik and Sussanne maintain a friendly co-parenting relationship. When Hrithik celebrated his third anniversary with Saba on October 1, Sussanne left a loving comment on his post, showcasing their friendly bond.

On the work front, Hrithik is currently filming 'War 2', a sequel to his successful 2019 action film. Meanwhile, Saba is busy shooting for the second season of the medical comedy-drama 'Who's Your Gynac?', where she reprises her role as Dr. Vidhushi, promising more laughs and heartfelt moments.
