Throwback: When Shah Rukh Khan requested fans to see Manisha Koirala’s film Dear Maya

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who shared screen space with Manisha Koirala in ‘Dil Se’, once praised Manisha Koirala’s comeback film ‘Dear Maya’. The film received critical acclaim and even the audience appreciated the actress’s strong performance.


SRK took to his X and expressed his opinion on her comeback movie. The actor complimented his co-star, saying that Manisha is more gorgeous than anyone could ever imagine and urged everyone to see her movie. He also wished Manisha good luck for her film ‘Dear Maya’. “My friend Manisha Koirala's new film 'Dear Maya' is out today. She is so beautiful in more ways than anyone can imagine... Do go and see her film please," Shah Rukh tweeted.


Released in 2017, ‘Dear Maya’ revolves around the story of a middle-aged lady named Maya Devi, portrayed by Manisha Koirala who leaves her home in search of love. The film was directed by debutante Sunaina Bhatnagar.


Recently, Shah Rukh Khan made the country proud yet again as he was honoured with the Pardo alla Carriera Ascona-Locarno Tourism at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland. This honor, a lifetime achievement award, pays homage to those all across the world whose talents have revolutionized the film industry.


On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan revealed that he is working in Sujoy Ghosh’s film titled ‘King’. He revealed that he needs to receive training for this "age-centric actioner." It also reportedly stars Suhana Khan. The film is set to become the first film to feature the father-daughter duo.
