While several celebs were spotted attending Hema Malini’s special party, but it was Rekha’s entry that grabbed all the attention as the birthday girl rushed in to welcome her.
In the viral video, Hema donning a pink saree can be seen screaming Rekha’s name in joy after she saw her entering the room. To this, Rekha in her mesmerising look rushes and hugs Hema in no time. Later, she also touched Hema’s feet to seek blessings as Hema is six years senior to her.

Besides their personal equation, Hema and Rekha also shared screenspace in multiple films. The two have starred together in films like Apne Apne (1987), Jaan Hatheli Pe (1987) and Kahte Hain Mujhko Raja (1975).
Apart from this, once Rekha made headlines with a generous donation of Rs 35 lakh to Hema Malini’s constituency of Mathurar’s girls college.
Last year, on Rekha’s birthday, Hema had penned a warm birthday note for her good friend Rekha and wrote, “Happy Birthday wishes go out today to dear Rekha. We have been good friends for many years now and I always wish her happiness and prosperity in life. Have a great day and year dear friend.”
