Throwback: When Randhir Kapoor spoke about working ‘really hard’ to pay for Kareena’s tuition fees, bills and his scotch

Randhir Kapoor has had an illustrious career in front of the camera in the 70s and 80s but feels envious about the present day actors. A few years ago the veteran actor had expressed how easy it was for the young actors to earn money, while during his time it was a tough task. Randhir Kapoor ahd told a news portal that new age actors easily made a lot of money whereas he has to work really hard to earn money, tuition fees, pay for electricity bills, for his wife Babita’s expenses and his Scotch. Last year while speaking to ETimes, Randhir Kapoor had expressed his desire to get behind the camera for a home production venture. Eager to revive the iconic RK banner, the actor had shared, “Well, it's happening. We are reviving the RK banner now. The film will be a love story." And will he direct it? "Yes," Raj Kapoor's eldest son had quipped. After the demise of his brother Rajiv Kapoor in February this year, Randhir Kapoor moved out of their ancestral RK home in Chembur. The veteran actor has bought a new abode in Bandra, which is closer to his daughters - Kareena and Karishma's residences.
