Throwback: When Malaika Arora opened up about handling trolling and personal struggles

Malaika Arora, known for her unfiltered opinions, in an old interview, revealed the difficulties she is facing with constant trolling and personal struggles, especially in her relationships. The actress shared her experience on how she copes with frequent internet criticism in an interview with GlobalSpa Magazine.


Addressing the constant trolling she faces, especially after her then rumored breakup with actor Arjun Kapoor, Malaika said that though she seems nonchalant, the negativity does get to her at times. However, she has learned to take it in the right spirit. She revealed that with time, she's gained the strength to tune out the negative voices and listen to the good ones about her life.


Malaika explained that despite constant criticism, she has learned to deal with it without letting it affect her. She stressed that she has learned to "insulate" herself from the negativity so that it does not control her actions or emotions. She admitted that trolls and criticism are inevitable, but she emphasized that one should ignore the commotion and concentrate on the good things in life.

Since 2018, Malaika had been seeing Arjun Kapoor (the duo have now broken up). She has remained under heavy public scrutiny recently. Despite this, she is very determined to succeed in both her personal and professional lives. Arbaaz Khan was the former spouse of Malaika Arora. The two have a son together, Arhaan.


On a more somber note, Malaika experienced personal loss in September. Her stepfather, Anil Mehta, was found dead in his apartment at Bandra. Malaika posted a public statement requesting privacy for her family due to this loss.

It remains evident, despite all this difficulty, that Malaika possesses an extraordinary ability to thrive amidst public attention and private misfortune.
