During her appearance on Nikhil Kamath's WTF podcast alongside rapper Badshah last year, Kriti confidently stated that the film business has not declined in recent years, citing the success of her own movies as proof.


When Nikhil raised concerns about the industry, mentioning insights from a friend who owns theaters and observed a drop in footfall over the years, Kriti disagreed. She argued that audience expectations and revenue benchmarks have grown, which is why even a film earning ₹100 crore may now seem underwhelming. Badshah initially agreed with Kriti but later acknowledged Nikhil's perspective about declining theater audiences.
