Even before she could charm fans with her debut movie ‘Bobby’,
Dimple Kapadia had found the love of her life. The actress was married to
Rajesh Khanna on March 1973, six months before the release of her debut film ‘Bobby’. However, a few years later their relationship soured.
A few years ago, Dimple Kapadia had opened up about the reason why they had parted ways. Speaking about the same on a show, the veteran actress had stated that they were very ‘different kind of people’ and that she was too young to understand the superstar because she was not one herself. Speaking about her marriage, Dimple had told Filmfare in July 1983, “Right from the beginning of my marriage I knew it wouldn’t work out. My biggest failing is I don’t take a stand. I let people stomp all over me. Finally, when I do put my foot down, it’s too late.” The couple had two daughters, Twinkle and Rinke Khanna.
Some of her most memorable performances include ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ (2001), ‘Cocktail’ (2012) and ‘Finding Fanny’ (2014) to name a few. She was also seen in Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' in 2020 and popular OTT show 'Taandav' in 2021. Up next, Dimple Kapadia will be seen essaying a pivotal role in Ayan Mukerji’s sci-fi drama ‘Brahmastra’.
