Throwback: When Deepika Padukone dedicated a love poem for 'best friend' Ranveer Singh - 'Someone you can laugh with...'

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are embracing the joys of parenthood after welcoming their first child, a daughter on September 8, 2024. Evidently, the parents are extremely excited for this new development, and are looking forward to their new journey.


The couple met and fell in love on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela and immortalised their love after tying the knot in 2018. The couple often give fans major relationship goals with their loving chemistry. Last year, Deepika left everyone in awe, as she dedicated a love-filled post for her best friend and husband.

Deepika took to her Instagram stories to share a quote by N'tima. She also tagged Ranveer in her post which talks about marrying your best friend.

The quote reads, "Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly. Really, truly find the strongest, happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with. Someone who speaks highly of you. Someone you can laugh with. The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort. The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laughs. Wit is important. Life is too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool with them.

Earlier, the couple shared the official announcement about their daughter's birth in a special Instagram post. The image stated, “Welcome Baby Girl!” and revealed the birth date as “8.9.2024.” The text was framed within a golden bow.


Soon after the couple made the announcement, they were flooded with warm wishes from many celebrities.
Bollywood stars like Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao all congratulated the couple. Hollywood actor Will Smith also sent his best wishes.
