Throwback: When Alia Bhatt hoped to star in ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ sequel with Shraddha Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra

Bhatt has joined forces with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif for an all-female cast road trip movie titled ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. This movie will be helmed by Farhan Akhtar, who had called the shots for an all-boys iconic film ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. Interestingly, Alia Bhatt had already expressed her desire to star in an all-female movie! Speaking to a news portal during the promotions of her movie ‘Shandaar’, Alia had revealed that she hoped to feature in a 'sequel' to ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ and that Parineeti Chopra and Shraddha Kapoor could play the leads alongside her in this entertainer.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

And this all-female led cast will be their third entertainer in the genre. ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ will be written by Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar and Reema Kagti with Reema Kagti, Zoya Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan producing the venture. The makers are planning to release this film in 2023.
