In conversation with Twinkle Khanna for a web portal, Waheeda Rehman remembered her trip with Helen and Asha Parekh to Turkey and shared the anecdote. She said that they all went on a cruise in Scandinavian countries and had great fun there. However, she added that they never danced together off-camera, even though they all were fantastic dancers of their time.
Further Waheeda Rehman also talked about the most important things in a female friendship and said understanding and trust for each other is necessary. The veteran actress also added that one should not try to change the other person and rather accept them for who they are.
In another interview, when Waheeda was asked if she is
friends
with anyone from the current lot of actors, she had said that the current generation of people doesn’t have time. Plus there is a generation gap with all of them.
However, the actress revealed that she shared a close bond with
Abhishek Bachchan because she has known his family for a long time. Rehman also added that
Amitabh Bachchan has been a friend even before he got married to Jaya Bachchan. So she is close to the Bachchans.
