This Miss Kissed in Hiss

Divya Dutta talks to TOI about her latest project Hiss and her intense lovemaking scenes with Iffran Khan:
Hiss is your first international project, how does it feel?
It feels absolutely great. It’s an out of the world experience, nothing can get better than this. Today most films are story and character oriented. My role in Hiss definitely leaves a great impact.I am lucky to be a part of this exceptionally great movie.
How was the experience of shooting for the movie?
I play a role opposite Irrfan Khan in Hisss. My first scene for Hiss was very emotional, and when I looked around after the shot, I found people crying. I told myself I was in the midst of a very emotional crew.
How is your sensual appeal different from Mallika Sherawat in the film?
Mallika will be seen in a full glamourous role, wooing the audience with her looks and curvaceous body. I have some sensuous scenes which are far more subtle in appeal. Mallaika is a spontaneous actress and a beautiful person as whole.
There is an intense love making scene between you and Iffran Khan. Were you comfortable with it?
It was the role’s requirement and an actor should be prepared for everything. I work hard for all my characters, every role is close to my heart. And about being comfortable, a good actress should be always comfortable with every role.
Are you ready to do such ‘bold’ scenes in your other projects?
The kind of roles I do have more life and meat. I can’t be a typical song-and-dance heroine. I am a true performer and not just here for show value. So if my roles require me to be bold I will definitely be bold and do justice to it.
How different is it to shoot with an Indian director and an international one?
My director should be excellent at his work, it doesn't matter if he is an Indian or not. Jennifer Chambers Lynch, director of Hiss is an exceptionally dynamic director. I have learnt a lot from her.
Did u get along well with Iffran and Mallika?
Yes, both Irfan and Mallika are great actors and amazing human beings, it was a pleasure to work with them both, we had a blast on our sets we used to laugh and work hard too.
After Hiss, what is next?
I am doing a variety of exciting roles. I am playing a negative role in one film, very sexy girl in another. I'm also doing a comedy for frontbenchers and a subtle comedy along with some international projects.
