‘This is like Maharaja cool’
... says hip hop artiste Snoop Dogg in pagdi presented by Akshay.
With the Snoop Dogg-Akshay Kumar video in the can (it was shot in Chicago over three days last week), and the East-West, Hip-Hop meets Bhangra collaboration done with, both Snoop and Akshay have come away with good memories. Snoop, however, has something more.
Akshay gifted him the black Singh is Kinng turban that he wore in the song. And although Snoop makes for a rather incongruous sight sporting his new headgear, he���s clearly happy about it.
���It is something completely new for me and I like it. It���s freaked out! Akshay gifted me this turban and I was like this is Maharaja cool! I have been aware of Bollywood for a short while now. I rap very well, while Akshay dances very well. For the three days we shot, it was fun,��� says Snoop.
Meanwhile, proud Punjabi Akshay has this to say: ���I thought it would be good to present him with a pagdi. He was already dancing to bhangra beats so a pagdi made sense. It was difficult to arrange for an authentic one in Chicago but I managed with the help of a local friend. He looks cool in it. I think he likes our culture.���
