This Holi will be about good food: Rasika Dugal

The actress says she is going to stay at home this Holi
Actress Rasika Dugal of

Manto

fame, will be spending Holi at home this year. The actress tells us how she spent the festival in pre pandemic times and how she will be celebrating Holi this year. While last year she was working on all the festivals, doing what she loves most - working, this year Rasika says she will spend Holi at home binging on good food and watching

films

or shows that she has missed till now.
"I was shooting in Delhi. Last year I celebrated Holi, Diwali, Christmas and

New Year

on set. Of course I would have loved to be around family and friends but what better way to celebrate than to be doing what you love doing most," said Rasika, who is known for her powerful roles in films and on TV and is married to actor Mukul Chadda.
She adds, "Holi has always been about getting together, playing with colours, and gorging on some delicious food. This year I will stick to the food bit. Given the spike in Covid cases in the last few days, I am going to be staying at home this Holi. And probably going to catch up on some films or series I have been wanting to watch."
On her professional front, Rasika's professional choices, which has been quite hat ke from the commercial league. When we had asked her in an interview that if she is open to doing commercial movies in Bollywood, she had then said, "I haven't made out and out commercial choices because they haven't come to me. I haven't had good offers for commercial movies; the roles offered to me were very insignificant to the film and so I turned them down. I haven't got a good meaty role for a commercial

Bollywood

movie. While not all commercial movies are great, even a lot of independent films are trashy. So there is good and bad in both the genres. I get so many offers for independent movies with a message to which I say no to. Independent movies doesn't mean the content is good and commercial movies doesn't mean the content is bad."
