It’s been a long time since we have seen a film that is set in college and shows how much fun a gang of friends can have in their college life. Rajshri Production’s forthcoming Isi Life Mein goes into this untapped domain of showcasing the behavioural pattern of the youth of today, something that will have an immediate connect with not only the youth but also their parents — thus making the film a full-on family entertainer.
The story has 11 friends in the gang led by the lead pair Akshay Oberoi and Sandeepa Dhar. They have their individual goals and aspirations and want to become the next big things. They go with the flow, are ambitious but grounded at the same time and live for the moment. We asked them what is the one thing that they want to do ‘isi life mein’ and got very interesting answers.
“I want to be a paisa wasool entertainer,” was
Moin Khan’s (who plays the character named Tintin in the movie) reply to our query. Akash Bhatija, who plays the role of Sumo, adds, “I don’t believe in re-incarnation or punarjanam. As far as my dreams go, I want to prove myself as a good actor, an enthralling drummer and a convincing lawyer. Aur ye sab mujhe karna hai, isi life mein.”
Suyesha Sawant who plays Aksy in Sooraj’s film wants to contribute to the film industry as a good actor. “I want to make films and anchor shows that provide wholesome entertainment, leaving an indelible imprint in the celluloid world. Such that when my life ends, I continue to live in this world through the work that I leave behind.”
Samaira Rao, playing Val, adds, “I want to be on top of the world with no compromise on values.” Tasha Kapoor is Shonali Bhansali in the movie. She says, “Make all my wishes come true and cherish each and every beautiful moment.” Meanwhile Deepak Ramola, who is ‘Mental’, added, “I want to become a harbinger of truth, the glow in my mother’s eye and the satisfaction in my father’s heart.” Ayush Mehra plays Sunil. He says, “I want to star next to Johnny Depp in the Pirates series or any other series.”
Neha Kakkar’s passion for music comes through when she says, “Isi life mein I wanna become the most famous singer from India, in the world.” She plays Sam in the movie. Rahul Kalra is Pari. “Tread on your own ways, I’m an idiot, so I’m not a part of any rat race.” The yongsters certainly are a sorted out bunch with the right mix of enthusiasm, exuberance and ambition.
