It takes the example of two heroes – Arjun Rampal & John Abraham – to answer this one. They both reigned as the ‘Kings of the Ramp.’ With their good looks and macho bodies, they both entered the world of celluloid making it a more handsome place.
And today while they are trying to get a stronger foothold on the glittering platform of Indian cinema, the two Sagittarians battle for a one-up status over the other...
or do they?
We are alluding to none other than the charismatic duo of Arjun Rampal and John Abraham, whose films clash this Friday. What does the soothsayer caution? Will their professional rivalry of sorts affect the personal rapport they share?
Arjun began his acting career with Rajiv Rai’s Pyar Ishq Aur Mohabbat. Though it wasn’t one of the more successful debuts recorded in the history books of Indian cinema, it didn’t leave him unnoticed. His perfect chiselled face and well-sculpted torso appealed to the masses unbarring the most obvious facet that takes an actor from Film 1 to Film 2 – his acting talent of course. And Arjun has gone as far as Film 5, with just one that did credibly well – Gaurang Doshi’s Aankhen.
This Friday will see the release of another of his films Dil Ka Rishta. Will it be the real break he’s yearning for? John on the other hand, will make his acting debut with Jism.’ As one battles the other at the BO, does their personal association turn sour?
“I hope both the films do well, for both of us. I wish John all the luck. He’s just starting out and I sincerely hope that he emerges successful, says buddy Rampal. He claims that their sense of maturity is too high to tackle such trivialities that form a part of any profession by default.
John on the other hand, jovially wishes the same. Unruffled by the negative vocational hazard of rivalry, their association continues to remain a pleasant ‘dil ka rishta.’
