The sweet Angad Bedi-Neha Dhupia romance

There are many romantic stories of whirlwind romances in tinsel town that keep fans yearning for more. One such story is that of former beauty queen Neha Dhupia and cricketer-model-actor Angad Bedi's friendship that soon turned into an everlasting romance. The couple married secretly in 2018, and their mushy social media PDA has been making our hearts skip a beat ever since.

Their relationship is strong and solid and now, just five years after their marriage, they are already proud parents to a girl, Mehr and Guriq, their little boy. Given the fact that there is a minor age difference between the two with Neha being older by two years, they have carried forward their relationship in a loving and mature way.

Interestingly, Angad Bedi saw Neha Dhupia for the first time in a gym when she was just 20 years old. He did not know her then, but he declared to his friends that one day, I am going to get to know her. And the determined young man did just that. The two became friends soon after and began meeting regularly as they lived close by. Both were from north India and lived alone in Mumbai.

The couple had met at a mutual friend’s party. There was an instant connection and the two started getting closer to each other. He would often drop in to Neha’s place and eat together. Neha was dating someone else then, Neha had once said in an interview. It took some time for their relationship to develop into something meaningful. “I saw a different side of him–beyond the jokes and wit, there was a sensitive man. We were both away from home in Mumbai, so I always relied on him for support. He lived a bachelor life and the one place he could always get home food was mine,” Neha was quoted saying.

It is common knowledge that when a person is the most vulnerable, then sparks can fly with the person who is meant to be yours. As soon as Neha Dhupia had a breakup, she called Angad for support. He became literally that reliable shoulder she could cry on. She even informed him she had a role in mind for him in an upcoming film. However, Angad was not so interested in roles at the time. All he cared about was that Neha should feel better and he flew down specially to spend time with her during her bad phase.

Neha claims that Angad did not propose to her in a very fancy way, but he nevertheless made the proposal memorable with his wit and humour. After going to meet her parents, he informed her that they were going to get married in two days and said that it was now time that she met his parents. Here is what Neha said: He told me I’d already wasted 4 years and declared ‘Chalo Dilli!’ to meet his parents. And before they knew it, they had the blessings of both sets of parents – cricketer Bishen Singh Bedi on one side and no-nonsense Naval officer on the other.
