The two filmmakers first met at Cannes in 2013 during the screening of Kashyap’s movie ‘Ugly,’ facilitated by a mutual friend. They quickly bonded, establishing a lasting friendship.

Bojanov described Kashyap as an incredible friend who is supportive, generous, and amazing. When ‘The Shameless’ made it to Cannes, Kashyap expressed his joy and pride through a congratulatory message.

Bojanov follows Indian cinema closely, particularly independent and parallel cinema. He mentioned that he enjoys Marathi films like ‘Killa’ and ‘Newton,’ and finds ‘Sulemani Keeda’ hilarious. He expressed a desire to watch the Marathi film ‘The Disciple.’ Bojanov also praised Kashyap’s film ‘Black Friday,’ calling it one of his favorites.
