The jury has given its verdict, literally. And it is debut director Gyan Correa’s The Good Road that has finally become India’s official entry to the mighty Oscars. And its lead actress Sonali Kulkarni is obviously over the moon.

The jury has given its verdict, literally. And it is debut director Gyan Correa’s 'The Good Road' that has finally become India’s official entry to the mighty Oscars. And its lead actress Sonali Kulkarni is obviously over the moon.
Remind her that her film has made it to the final post as a surprise item, when it was 'The Lunchbox' that was being touted as film, that was likely to make it to the Oscars.

So, is that an advantage or a disadvantage for her film? To this Sonali replies: “I feel it’s a compliment! I’m glad that there are people like Gautam Ghose in the Oscar selection committee of Film Federation of India, who have taken this decision. Our film never boasted of sterling performances. Ours a simple film for which we have all made sincere efforts, And I’m glad they have paid off! Now I’m really dying to see Lunchbox because many of my friends have told me that it’s fabulous! So, I have to see it at the earliest!”
