Pallavi Joshi, who is riding high on the success of her last film, ‘The Kashmir Files’ recently opened up about actors claiming boycotts affect the film’s crew members.
According to the actress, to tell people to think about those 250 people who work on our films and what about their livelihood is a wrong argument. Pallavi clarified that after the release, it’s only the producer, the distributor, and the exhibitor that get stuck. Actors, technicians and all the daily wage workers have been paid by then.
Pallavi also went on to add that as long as films are being made, people will get paid unless there's a pandemic-like situation where the industry comes to a standstill. The film industry will never be put under a lock and key, the actress told Hindustan Times.
Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, ‘The Kashmir Files’ also starred Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and others in key roles. The film received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike. It also did record-breaking business at the box office.
